DMGZ is a professional corporation of attorneys practicing in Anchorage, Alaska. Our practice includes representation of local, national, and international clients with a wide variety of legal needs. We’ve heard the adage from clients before: “We don’t hire law firms, we hire lawyers.” At DeLisio Moran Geraghty & Zobel, P.C. (DMGZ), our attorneys and professionals have an expertise and proficiency in their respective practice areas, but they also offer more.

We are committed to enhancing the growth and integrity of our profession and our community. Our attorneys serve on a number of Bar Association committees including the Pro Bono Service Committee, Law Related Education Committee, and Fee Arbitration Committee. We also serve on non-profit boards and volunteer in our community. We are parents, musicians, gardeners, outdoor enthusiasts and artists. We enjoy Alaska’s short but intense summer, and welcome winter with equal enthusiasm. We know that the quality of our work and the energy we bring to a matter derives, in part, from our experience and interests outside of the office.

Our attorneys and our firm have a rich history in Alaska. We are one of the oldest, most established law firms in the state, with our roots initially planted in Fairbanks in 1957. When Steve DeLisio joined the firm in 1965, its name changed to Merdes Schaible Staley & DeLisio. Steve DeLisio opened the Anchorage office of the firm in 1971 in a small apartment office on H street. We soon grew out of that space and moved to our present location in 1979. When Governor Steve Cowper tapped Grace Schaible as Attorney General under his administration and she left the firm, the firm name changed again in 1986 and again in 1992 to Staley DeLisio & Cook, P.C. That entity was dissolved in 1993. At that time, Cook Schuhmann & Groseclose, Inc. was created to represent clients via the Fairbanks office, and DeLisio Moran Geraghty & Zobel, P.C. organized to continue to represent our clients from Anchorage.

Several of our attorneys and professionals were born and raised here, and the rest now call Alaska home. We believe that our standards of professionalism and commitment to excellence within our profession and our lives make us a distinctive group of individuals to work with.
