PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
Mr. Moore's practice focuses on representing creditors in banking, commercial litigation, transactions, workouts, collections and bankruptcy. Mr. Moore's over 20 years of legal experience includes three years as in-house bankruptcy counsel and property tax coordinator for the FDIC in Anchorage, Alaska. At FDIC, Mr. Moore gained valuable experience in debtor workouts, bankruptcy, practical enforcement of creditor claims and the recovery of property through unwinding fraudulent transfers and schemes. One of his cases resulted in the largest bankruptcy fraud recovery and conviction sentence to date in the District of Alaska. Following his experience at FDIC, Mr. Moore has continued to successfully represent local and national creditors in workouts, collections, litigation and bankruptcies.
For over 20 years, Mr. Moore has also represented Alaska Native corporations, private resource companies, local businesses and private individuals in a variety of matters regarding state and federal public land and natural resource law. These matters have included mining claim disputes, right-of-way negotiations, public trust land litigation, timber and resource development regulation, Native allotments and conveyances to and from the state and federal governments. In addition, Mr. Moore has represented parties in resolving disputes through litigation and mediation involving insurance law, real estate, intellectual properties, domain name disputes and construction law.
His reported appellate cases include: Alaska Trams Corp. v. Alaska Elec. Light & Power, 743 P.2d 350 (Alaska 1987); Welcome v. Jennings, 780 P.2d 1039 (Alaska 1989); Kenai Peninsula Borough v. Cook Inlet Region, Inc., 807 P.2d 487 (Alaska 1991); Richey v. Oen, 824 P.2d 1371 (Alaska 1992); United States v. Heirs of David F. Berry, 127 IBLA 196 (1993); and Weiss v. State, 939 P.2d 380 (Alaska 1997).
